On the 17th March was my first opportunity to try out my new toy, a campervan! Bought in December, and with Jamie leaving for Australia I was now free to get back to some adventures.
However with some trepidation, these toys aren't cheap, and according to a few conversations / social media it can take quite a while to grow into.
For some reason I headed firstly to near Arnside, but thereafter another 12 nights all in Yorkshire. I stayed on actual campsites for all but two of those nights, at typically £25 to £35 per night it adds up. I guess you get security and utilities...also useful to get to know the van, but longer term I had plans to test out off grid.
More of a photo dump this. So after Arnside (Silverdale actually) I headed east with two nights in the following places: Aysgarth (highlight the waterfalls); Hutton le Hole (N York Moors) and Bridlington (near Sewerby for the birds at Bempton Cliffs).

There followed a short break as Katie was in Sheffield, but soon returning with 2 nights in Wharfedale (Appletreewick) and Ingleton. Both a little nostalgic, as ran the boys fell race in Burnsall and the Ingleton Falls were both a family and school destination.
The final 2 nights i met the Derby boys in Helmsley, and with no campsites around, I parked in a public space in the square. Wasn't an issue, simply didn't advertise the fact...kept roof down and no window covers at front. Just looked like a van parked up!
All in all, as researched, an evolving process but defo improving.
Mallorca next....see how that goes, but more vanlife as soon as I return.
